She was a graduate of Little Flower High School, Class of 1950, and was a devoted parishioner of Queen of the Universe Church for 66 years.
Bernadette lived a life rooted in faith and guided by a strong spiritual conviction and courage in the face of any challenge. She cherished the lifelong bond she shared with her “sorority” sisters, her dear friends since high school, who brought joy, laughter, and countless memories to her life.
A spirited soul with a love for adventure, Bernadette was always up for fun. Parasailing at the Jersey shore, whitewater rafting in Montana, skydiving for her 80th birthday, all a testament to her adventurous heart and spirit. She had a deep appreciation for music, especially the timeless voice of Frank Sinatra.
Bernadette also loved to travel, one of her favorite times of the year was in the fall. She always found peace and beauty in taking long drives with her children to admire the changing colors and the beauty of the season. Her vibrant spirit and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew her.
After raising her family, Bernadette dedicated many years to serving others through her volunteer work at Mary’s Cupboard in Levittown. In addition to her volunteer efforts, she began working part-time for the Pennsbury School District in 1983 as an administrative substitute. She later became a full-time assistant in the Pupil Services Office, where she worked for over 15 years until her retirement in 2007. Bernadette often spoke fondly of her time with the district and the many friendships she formed during those years.
Bernadette was predeceased by her husband, William M. Moran Sr. and her beloved daughters, Patricia Moran Simkanin and Bernie Moran Rossi, and daughter-in-law Barbara ‘Bobbie’ Palmer.
She is survived by her children, William Moran, Jr. (Roberta Echard) of Bradenton, Florida, Thomas Moran of Levittown, Teresa Moran-Hagan (James) of Yardley, Kenneth Moran (Christine) of Langhorne, Kevin Moran (Melinda) of Wrightstown, and Cara Noonan (Phil) of Warrington. She shared her sense of adventure, love of music, and warm spirit with them, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, stories, and unconditional love.
Although Bernadette will be missed every day, her legacy of faith, fun, and family will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
