Bernadette C. Schaefer

Born in Philadelphia, and formerly of Penndel, Bernadette has resided in West Wildwood for the past 10 years.

Until her retirement, Bernadette was a Bus Driver with the Neshaminy School District.

She was very active in Marriage Encounter and Our Lady of Grace School.

Bernadette enjoyed spending countless hours down the shore with her family and friends. She loved traveling to the Caribbean Islands and going to the Casinos.

Most important to her was being a loving wife, mother, Nana, and Beach Nana to her great grandchildren.

She is the loving mother of the late Emil Karl Schaefer.

Bernadette is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Robert; and her children, Robert (Karen), Jennifer, Meg, Matthew (Laurie), Trisha Drouillard (Larry), and Amanda Finley (John).

She will also be sadly missed by her 23 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Jim Stoeckhert (Laraine), Lorraine Szablewski (Bill), Donna Stoeckhert, Kay Mallen, Dave Dobisch (Marie), Gary Schaefer, Ronnie Dobisch; nieces, nephews; godchildren; and many wonderful friends

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Friday, at Our Lady of Grace Church, Penndel, followed by the Rite of Committal in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
