Catherine R. Kane

Catherine R. "Cass" Kane died peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Neshaminy Manor. She was 91.Born in Ardara, County Donegal, Ireland, she has been a long time Lower Bucks County resident and a member of St. Ephrem parish.Cass worked for the Internal Revenue Service for many years until retiring in 1987.She enjoyed spending time with her family, most especially with her grandchildren.Beloved wife of the late Alexander L. Kane, Mrs. Kane is the loving mother of Al (Karen) of Bellmawr, NJ, Michael (Irene) of Vienna, VA, Mark (Susan) of Newtown, PA and James (Monica) of Doylestown, PA; the devoted grandmother of 12, and great grandmother of 6. She will also be missed by her sister, Margaret "Peg" Gallagher and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Saint Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow in Beverly National Cemetery.Mrs. Kane's family would like to thank the staff of Neshaminy Manor A1 Unit and the Caring Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Cass.
