Charles W. Spence, Sr. Charles W. Spence, Sr. of Levittown, PA died peacefully Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Frankford Torresdale Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 60. He was the devoted husband of the late Bernice Sattung Spence. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles F. Spence and Anna Mae Houseworth. He was also predeceased by a granddaughter. Charles was a lifelong resident of Levittown, Pa. Graduating from Wilson High School in 1969, Charles had worked for UPS for 27 years. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and was a huge Phillies fan. He will be deeply missed by his family and his faithful little buddy Chopper who was always at his side. He is survived by his loving children, Charles (Jennifer) Spence of Princeton, NJ, Brian (Rose) Spence of Holland, Pa, Gerianne Sottung Spence and her husband, Joseph Caruso of Phila, Pa, Justin Spence of Phila, Pa and Daniel (Tracy Orne) Spence of Waldorf, Md. and his beloved sister Betty Lou Spence of Southampton, Pa. He is also survived by his 8 dear grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, 5:30 until 7:00 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
