

Christine J. Elliott of Levittown died on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center. She was 78. Born in Johnstown, PA and raised in New Florence, PA, she graduated from Laurel Valley High School in 1955. After graduating she went to work for the former General Telephone in Johnstown. She has resided in Middletown Township for the past 48 years and was a member of Queen of the Universe parish. Mrs. Elliott was a former aide at Pearl S. Buck Elementary School and in earlier years was active with the Middletown Athletic Association. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, knitting and crocheting. Mrs. Elliott was the beloved wife of the late Donald E. Elliott. She was the loving mother of Melissa Holmes (Robert) of Fairless Hills and Curtis E. Elliott (Paige) of Dallas, TX. She was the devoted grandmother of Vaughn, Kevin and Janelle Holmes and Lindsey, Aaron and Katie Elliott. She was the sister of John, Raymond, Gerald, and the late David Horvath and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church followed by Rite of Committal at Resurrection Cemetery.
