

Christopher Carl Mitchell Christopher Carl Mitchell "Chris" died suddenly at his home on Saturday, May 23, 2015. He was 42. Born in Bristol Boro, Chris had lived in Bucks County his entire life. He was a 1990 graduate of Harry S. Truman High School, where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. After graduating from High School, Chris was a Volunteer Firefighter, Rescue Diver and EMT. Chris has worked at Bucks County 911 for the last 16 years, where he was affectionately known as "Vader". Chris had a heart of gold and was a good friend to many. Chris shared his family's love of animals which included a house full of pugs and cats. In his free time, Chris enjoyed watching the Eagles and Phillies. He was an avid fan of Penn State Football and the local Truman Tigers. Chris was a big supporter of local and upcoming athletes. Chris will be deeply missed by his father and stepmother, Wayne and Karen Mitchell; his sister and brother-in-law, Laurie and Matthew Noble; his maternal grandmother, Marion Gallagher; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends, Lisa McManus and her daughter, Mackenzie. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Kirk; his paternal grandparents, Florence and Edward Mitchell; and his maternal grandfather, Edward Gallagher. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where "Words of Rememberance" will be shared at 8:00 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Chris' name may be made to the Harry S. Truman Football Club, 3001 Green Lane, Levittown, PA 19057 or to the Bucks County S.P.C.A., PO Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
