Claire Lucin Jester

Claire Jester, a longtime resident of Levittown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at the remarkable age of 103 at The Birches of Newtown on June 6, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Claire leaves behind a legacy of warmth, joy, and love of family.

Born to John and Elizabeth Steffanic, Claire was one of ten children, all of whom preceded her in passing. She was married to her devoted husband, Howard Jester, for 55 years. Together, they raised a loving family and built a life full of cherished memories. Claire was a retiree of General Motors, where she dedicated many years of hard work and commitment.

Claire was known for her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to those around her. She enjoyed simple pleasures: playing cards, cooking, watching game shows, playing horseshoes, collecting recipes and cookbooks, and the keyboard. Her enthusiasm for life and her hobbies was only matched by her love for her family.

She was the proud mother of three children: the late Claire Jester, Dolores Nicolet (Ronn), and Howard Jester (Pat). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Christin Parret (Bob), Dan Nicolet (Kim), Lauren Jester (Beth), and Hailey Jester (Kevin). Claire also delighted in the lives of her great-grandchildren: Aly, Lex, Max, Hannah, Fynn, and Oliver.

Claire’s life was a beautiful example of strength, joy, and family devotion. She enjoyed her retirement fully and embraced every moment with grace. Her presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A visitation for Claire will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 starting at 9:30 AM at Queen of the Universe, 2443 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056, followed by the family eulogy at 9:50am, and a memorial mass at 10:00am. Her committal service will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Claire’s memory to Gentiva Hospice or Queen of the Universe.
