He was born in Stafford, NJ and was a longtime resident of Levittown, PA. David was a shipping manager for Tastepoint by IFF and has been with them since 1998. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and was an avid sports fan.
David is predeceased by his wife, Marie Ashton, his brother, Glenn Robert Ashton, and his step-father, Stephen Donahue; he is survived by his son, David M. Ashton, Jr.; his mother, Donna Donahue; his sister and brother-in-law, Danielle and Tom Sheridan; his brother, James Ashton; 8 nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.
A celebration of life for David will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM with a service at 7:30 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in David's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
