David J. Persson

David "Dave" J. Persson,affectionately nicknamed "Shude", died peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at GrandView Hospital with his loving wife and daughter by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dave was 56 years old. Dave was born and grew up in Croydon, PA, attending Mary W. Devine And Delhaas High School before graduating Cum Laude from Temple University with his Electrical Engineering Degree, before getting married and eventually moving to his present home in Sellersville, PA. Dave enjoyed carpentry and woodworking, golf, craft beer, going to Iron Pig Baseball games and hanging with our puppies, Finn and Shane. Dave was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Mary (Monahan) Heierling and Richard G. Heierling. He will be sorely missed and survived by his wife, Michele (Galambos) Persson and daughter, Nicole, his father, William Persson, his elder brothers, William Persson, Eric and Kristie Persson, his younger sister, Sondra and Ron Barbour, his sister-in-laws, Maria and Alaina Galambos, many beloved nieces,nephews,goddaughters and dear friends. Dave was an Operations Manager at Arris in Horsham, PA. In his professional life, Dave was lucky enough to enjoy the friendship and support of many wonderful co-workers from all over the world, past and present. Friends and Family are invited to call on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 10am to 12pm, at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. followed by a brief service.
