

Divina (Dee) Maria Westerhold (Salerno) of Levittown passed away Saturday November 5th from complications of pneumonia. She was 92. She was born February 24, 1919 in Trenton New Jersey to Angelo and Angela Maria Salerno and had 5 brothers; Angelo (Jr) Salerno of Surprize Az., Bud Salerno and his wife Debbie of Santa Cruz, Ca., and infant Celeste (deceased), Celeste (deceased), and Desi (deceased). Dee was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years James Roger Westerhold; they had a long and happy life and many interests. She was very proud of her service to our country as a yeoman in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII, and was equally proud of being an original "Levittowner". Soon after moving there from Trenton she became involved with the church and devoted much of her time to helping others and volunteering where ever she could. She had many hobbies and interests including cooking, gardening, sewing, crafts, and raising Old English Sheep dogs. She also loved bowling. She organized the Tuesday Ladies Bowling League and bowled well into her eighties. She always found time for her family; her proudest achievement. She is survived by her loving sons, Jay Westerhold (Eleanor) of Chesapeake, VA, Eric Westerhold (MaryJo) of Levittown, PA , Brian Westerhold, (Dawn) of Woodstock, GA, 8 Grandchildren, Autumn Williams, Jacksonville, FL, Joanne Ciccotelli (Michael) Woodbine, NJ, James R. Westerhold II, Jacksonville, FL, James Knox Michelle), Villas, NJ, John Knox, with Athena Ravis, Chesapeake, VA, Scott Westerhold, Middleburg, FL , Erin Westerhold-Kiss (Joseph), Hulmeville, PA, Amy Lynn (John) Levittown, PA, 8 Great Grandchildren Ashley Beckmann, Jacksonville, FL , Michael and Joseph Ciccotelli, Woodbine, NJ, James and Kaitlyn Knox, Villas, NJ, Kayla and Kylie Kiss, Hulmeville, PA, Persephanie Knox, Chesapeake, VA and dear friends, Cheryl and Dave Kirner and Bill and Carmella Valerious, who came to her aid in times of need. Divina will be interred in a private ceremony at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
