Don was born on Feb. 22 1958 to Donald & Helen Gabel (manko) of Philadelphia, Pa . He spent most of his years growing up in Philadelphia until his family relocated to the Bristol area, where Don attended and graduated from Delhaas High School, and continued his education into the electrical field.
Growing up Don was fascinated by trains. He had such an interest in them. To no surprise he made a career out of one of his many passions. Don was such a hardworking man, he was a dedicated Septa employee for 16 years , where he worked as an electrical specialist.
One of his other passions was Philly sports, particularly the Philadelphia Phillies! He would enjoy his time off taking his grandson to see the Phillies play. Anyone who knew Don knew that he loved his Phillies and he loved his family.
Don will be remembered by all as a compassionate, kindhearted, warm soul that touched so many around him. He will especially be missed by his favorite canine companions, Lux and Luna.
Donald is survived in death by his daughter Dawn Doster (John Doster), grandchildren Devon & Kylie, many nieces, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Helen Gabel (Manko), his sisters Rita (Gillan) and Judith (Zimmerman)
Due to the covid pandemic the family will announce at a later time Dons memorial services. Any donations can be made to Dons Go Fund Me: https://www.gofundme.com/f/fighting-for-dad-and-poppop-don-gabel.
