Dorothy Mae Harris

Dorothy Mae Harris, 92 years young, of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Crestview Center, Langhorne, PA. She was born in Hazleton, PA on April 12, 1931 to the late John and Mary Lukatch.

Dorothy moved to Levittown in 1959, where she lived with her beloved husband Frank H. Harris. They were married for 59 years before his passing in 2010. She was the devoted mother to her eleven children, Dorothy Mason (Joseph), Catherine Strassler (Roger), David Harris (Mary), Annmarie Harris (Sergio), Frank Harris (Lynda), Gene Harris (the late Neil), Art Harris (Nancy), Jim Harris (Amy), Margaret Goodwin (Kevin), Bill Harris and Chuck Harris (Robin). She was known as Baba to her 30 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

After raising her family, Dorothy enjoyed working at K-Mart as a greeter for 10 years and will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor. She also loved making perogies, halupki and other Slavic favorites for her family. Dorothy was an avid Philly fan, thoroughly loved polka and country music. She enjoyed dancing and was always smiling and telling jokes.

The viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056, where her funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940, at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the charity of their choice.
