Edward C. Long A much loved father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, Edward C Long, of Bristol, Pennsylvania was called home to the pearly gates of heaven to join his beloved 14 month old granddaughter on August 16, 2015. He was born May 10, 1962 at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pa to Betty Cook and the late Charles Long. He attended Delhaas High School, and was a life long member of the Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. Edward was a hard working man and single father who installed carpet his whole life and lovingly raised two wonderful daughters on his own. He was always a "family man" who would live life through his daughters and his grandchildren. He enjoyed many activities such as playing golf with his son-in-law Matthew N. McEntee on a Sunday morning after church, traveling with his family, playing with and spoiling his grandkids. Doing ANYTHING involving his grandchildren that made them happy made his whole world complete. " He was the bestest pop pop " says his grandkids. He was truly an amazing man with a HUGE heart that would help anyone in need and needed a friend. He was the type of human being who would give his last just to make the other person happy. He will be greatly missed and NEVER forgotten. Edward is survived by his daughters Colleen R. Long and Michelle K. Long; his sister Cindy Falkowski; his brothers Charles and William Long; his grandsons Ryan M. McEntee and Tyler J. McEntee; granddaughters Jaelyn R. Barr and the late Leanna E. McEntee. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where his memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm.
