
A lifelong resident of Lower Bucks, Eddy attended St Michael the Archangel School, and graduated Class of 1979 from Bishop Egan High School, where he was a member of both the football and wrestling teams.
Eddy was employed as maintenance for Korman Suites and St. Andrew's, before becoming a pipefitter with NJ Transit until his retirement.
In his free time, Eddy coached soccer, baseball, and basketball youth teams. He also was a referee and umpire at times. He was an usher at St. Michael the Archangel and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Catherine Swaim; and his brother, Paul Swaim, Jr; Eddy is survived by his children, Gina Swaim; Devon Swaim (Codero Newkirk), and Nicholas Swaim (Alison); his grandchildren, Gabriel, Cora, Serena, and Baby Girl Newkirk; and his siblings, Richard Swaim (Linda), George Swaim (Roseanne), and Cathleen Hertens.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
