

Elaine M. Wamsley passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at her home at the age of 83. Born in Palmerton, PA, Elaine Wamsley moved to Fairless Hills in 1952 with her parents, Rudolph and Mary Gerkovich, when US Steel Fairless Works opened. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish in Fallsington until its closing.
Mrs. Wamsley was an integral part of the Falls Township Democratic Club. Serving as treasurer for several years and remained an active member.
She was employed with Jackson and Sullivan Law, Groen Laveson Law and then as a bookkeeper with Bucks County Housing Development Corporation until her retirement.
She enjoyed vacationing at the Outer Banks, NC and Cancun. She especially enjoyed cooking, reading and volunteer work at the Fallsington Public Library. Beloved wife of the late Willard, Mrs. Wamsley is survived by her devoted sons, Bill and his wife, Carol Wamsley and Jim and his wife, Sara Wamsley; and her grandchildren, Raina Wamsley, Carmela Straiton, Erin Orr, and Billy, Danny and Maggie Mengel. She will also be sadly missed by Mary T. Mengel, who was like a daughter to her and her husband Art; caregiver, Terri; and life long friends, Judy and Herb Duffy.
Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery
