Eleanor Marie Black

Eleanor Marie Black died on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Statesman Nursing Home in Levittown. She was 81.Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Black has been a long time resident of Levittown and member of the former Immaculate Conception Parish and is a member of Queen of the Universe Parish.She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her family.Mrs. Black shared her love and home as a foster parent of 57 children. She is the beloved wife of the late Carl A. and loving mother of the late Michael Black.Mrs. Black is survived by her devoted children, Carl J. (Andrea), Steven (Gretchen), Eric (Michelle), Linda Ream (Mark), Denise White (Steven), Bethann Devoll (Craig) and Candice Kieper (Jason).She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jamie, Amber, Mandi, Nikki, Cara, Ryan, Garrett, Brandon, Kasey, Korey, Steven, Lacey, Craig, Ashley, Brandy, Carolann and Jason; her 8 great grandchildren; her brother, Edward Wolfe; and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation of Philadelphia and Southeastern PA, One Valley Square, 512 Township Line Road, Suite 133, Blue Bell, PA 19422
