Elizabeth A. Grimes

Elizabeth A. "Liz" Grimes, of Fairless Hills, died on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Vitas Hospice at Nazareth Hospital. She was 87. Born in Herminy, PA, Mrs. Grimes lived in Clairton, PA before moving to Bristol Township in 1953 and later to Fairless Hills where she has resided for the past 33 years. Mrs. Grimes enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and driving her granddaughters shopping "down street". She will be greatly missed for her many "Mom Mom-isms". Mrs. Grimes was the beloved wife of the late Raymond D. Grimes. She was the loving mother of Judith Ann (Bill) Goldberg of Levittown and the late Raymond W. (Celeste) Grimes of Levittown. She was the devoted grandmother of Sarah (James ) Worthington of Bristol, Courtney Grimes of South Philadelphia, Abigail Goldberg of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Bonnie Goldberg of Silver Spring, MD. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Julie March of Jefferson Hills, PA; her great grandson James; her nephew Dennis March of Jefferson Hills, PA; her niece Jackie Roden of Titusville, PA and many friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
