Emily P. HoaglandEmily P. Hoagland died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Spring Village at Floral Vale in Yardley. She was 94.Born in Trevose, Mrs. Hoagland has been a lifetime resident of Lower Bucks County and was a 1938 graduate of Bensalem High School.She attended Trenton State Teachers College where she obtained her Masters Degree in Education. Mrs. Hoagland taught Math in the Neshaminy School District for many years, among the schools in the district were Oliver Heckman and Lower Southampton Elementary Schools.Mrs. Hoagland enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, playing bridge and pinochle, a good round of golf, and had organized her own book club for several years.Beloved wife of 67 years to George W., Mrs. Hoagland is the loving mother of Robert (Debra), Rick (Denise) and Scott.She is the devoted grandmother of 9; great grandmother of 11; and dear sister of Marie Wright (late Bill).Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in William Penn Cemetery, Philadelphia.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harriman United Methodist Church, 1700 Wilson Avenue, Bristol, PA 19007.
