Born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph and Helen Ancharski, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1965 graduate of Delhaas High School. After graduating from high school, Eugene served his country in the US Army, where he worked in Military Intelligence. After the army he earned a bachelor's degree from LaSalle University in 1975. He worked for 41 years as a Claims Representative for the Social Security Administration until his retirement in 2015.
Predeceased by his parents; his brother Daniel Ancharski; his nephews Charles J Gryniewicz and Mark Ancharski; and his sister-in-law Rosemary; Eugene is survived by his sister Gertrude Gryniewicz; his brother Joseph Ancharski, his sister-in-law Mary Ann; many nieces and nephews, and his close friends that he considered family, the Espositos and the Codispotis.
A memorial gathering for Eugene will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 66 Levittown Pkwy, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19054. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 66 Levittown Pkwy, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19054. A burial with military honors will occur Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 11:45 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020.
