

Born on October 11, 1953, Frank knew from a young age that he was destined for military service. Inspired by his favorite television show *Combat*, he set his sights early on a life of duty and discipline. That dream became reality when he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served honorably for over 20 years before retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Throughout his distinguished military career, Frank was stationed around the world: including long stays in Germany and Korea. His dedication earned him numerous commendations and honors, including the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, and the Expert Marksman Rifle Badge. These accolades reflected not only his skill but also his unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity.
Frank’s life was enriched by his deep love for his wife Lee (Hyo), he was her Yobo. Their bond was one of mutual respect and enduring affection. He is fondly remembered by Lee’s family in Korea as well. He was a beloved brother to Angelina (James) Cook, Joan Scallantino, and Theresa (Joe) Cortese. He was predeceased by his parents John and Joan Scallantino, his brother and sister-in-law John & Nancy Scallantino, and brother-in-law Harry. Frank also held a special place in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews who cherished him as their fun uncle. He always ready with a story or a hearty laugh.
Frank had an unmistakable presence, boisterous in spirit with a laugh that could fill a room. He was known as a storyteller who could captivate any audience with tales from his travels or memories from his youth. Whether enjoying a strong cup of coffee or taking pride in his fast car, Frank embraced life with enthusiasm.
Those who knew him would describe him simply: a good man. He was a loving husband, caring brother, loyal friend, and someone who brought joy wherever he went.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm with a funeral service immediately following at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, Pennsylvania, 19056. Interment is private.
