Franklin F. Ashmore died on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at his home in Saylorsburg. He was 92.Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a long time resident of Morrisville and Fallsington, prior to moving to Saylorsburg in 1988.He was a former member of the All Saints Episcopal Church, Fallsington.Mr. Ashmore was employed with General Motors for 42 years, retiring in 1988.A World War II veteran, Mr. Ashmore served in the U.S. Navy and was a life time member of the VFW.Mr. Ashmore loved nature, birds and animals.He received the Presidental Award in 1979 for Senior Swimming at Pennsbury High School.Beloved husband of 71 years to Charlotte M. (Kimble). He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am.
