Gary D. MonaghanGary D. Monaghan passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 63.Born in Philadelphia, Gary has been a life long resident of Lower Bucks County and was a 1973 graduate of Pennsbury High School.Until his retirement in 2015, Gary was employed as a Locomotive Operator for 20 years with Kinder Morgan. He loved going to the gun range and was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed crossword puzzles, religiously. However, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends. Gary is survived by his loving children, Marcus M. Monaghan (Elizabeth) and Nicole A. Kelly (Thomas); his wife, Maureen "Liz" Monaghan; and his 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by his stepchildren, AnnMarie Taft (Joe), Leighanne King (Brian), Bobby Taft; and his siblings; Gene Monaghan (Peggy), Patrick Monaghan (Robin), Margie Fassano (Sammy), Colleen Fassano (Louie); sister-in-law, Ann Monaghan; and many nieces and nephews.Gary was predeceased by his parents, Edith (McGettigan) and James Monaghan; his siblings, James, Kathleen and Gerald Monaghan; and his stepson, William Taft.Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation, on Thursday, from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately.
