George F. Christ

George F. Christ of Levittown left us to be with the Lord on September 4, 2015. George was a committed family man who cherished time with those he loved. He was known for his kindness, simplicity, honesty and hard work. Mr. Christ retired from Reedman's Auto Mall after a 40 year career. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sharon, who went to be with the Lord at the all too young age of 7. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary Ellen; his loving sons James Christ, and David and Andrea Christ; his loving daughters Patricia and Raymond Murphy, Mary Jayne and James Oberto, Colleen and Lawrence Monaco, Kathryn and Thomas Ervin, Dianne Haley, and Susan and John Oberto. He will also be missed by 26 loving grandchildren and 5 loving great grandchildren who loved spending time with their Pop-Pop. He touched many lives and his impact will be felt for generations. We love and miss him. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road., Levittown. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 10:30 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church followed by Rite of Committal at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
