George E. Gardner

George E. Gardner George E. Gardner died on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Kindred Hospital, Havertown. He was 83. Mr. Gardner was a member of Emmaus Road Lutheran Church and was a former member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. A Rotary International Club member for 48 years in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Gardner was also a past president of the Levittown Public Recreation Association and a member of the Credit Managers Association. He was employed with the State of New Jersey for 20 years as a supervisor for Patient Accounts and formerly was employed with Meenan Oil as a credit manager for 18 years. Mr. Gardner served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II. Beloved husband of the late Emily M. (Cappella), and loving father of the late George E. Jr., Mr. Gardner is survived by his devoted daughter, Debra Gardner-Reynolds (John) of West Chester, his grandsons, John and Bryan Reynolds, his brother-in-law, Frank Cappella, and sisters-in-law, Mary Monzo and Tina Cappella. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 9:00 am until 10:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00 am at Emmaus Road Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park. The family has requested that memorial contributions in his memory may be made to a Veteran's Organization of donor's choice.
