George S. Porter

Born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, George has been a resident of Bensalem for over 45 years.

George spent his career as an Operating Engineer and was a very loyal and proud member of Local #542.

He served his country and was an honorable US Army veteran and beloved and respected Brother of the Masonic Lodge #3.

George Is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Patricia (Chapman) Porter. He was the loving Father and Pop Pop of Carolyn Williams (Rick) and Heather (Luckie) Porter and her children Ashleigh, Wil, Joshua and Matthew.

He will also be missed by his brother, Howard Porter and his sister Dolly (Porter) Tobin and his nieces and nephews.

He will sadly be missed by his dogs Misty, Molly and Shadow.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Porter.

Family and friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8th at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where a Masonic Service will be held.

Burial with Military Honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 9th at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home on Thursday morning.
