

Gerald A. Crouse Gerald A. Crouse, beloved husband of 56 years to Helen J. (nee Dougar), passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA at the age of 79. Formerly of Levittown, he was a resident of Florida for the past 17 years. Gerald began his career in the Steel industry in 1949 at US Steel in Homestead, PA. In 1950 he joined the United States Marine Corps and upon his discharge he relocated with his family to Fairless Hills, PA. In 1953 he resumed working at USX Fairless Works until his retirement in 1980. He was a staff representative for United Steel Workers of America from 1976 until 1993. He serviced Philadelphia, York and Harrisburg, PA. Along with his wife, Helen, Mr. Crouse is survived by his loving children and grandchildren Gerald D. Crouse and his children Gerald Jr. (Stacy), Jennifer and Michael; Glenn J. Crouse and his daughter Nicole Crouse-Brunner (Rod); Raymond M. Crouse (Virginia) and their children, Amanda and Raymond, Jr.; Darlene M. Crouse-Mahaffey (Lewis) and their children, Regina and Leo and Carolyn J. Crouse-Nicolosi (Joseph) and their children, Joseph and Helene. He is also surived by a great grandson, Jacob Crouse, son of Gerald Jr. and Stacy and a great granddaughter, Breanna Devaney, daughter of Jennifer Crouse. He will also be sadly missed by his two sisters, Dolores M. "Dolly" Bangor, of Fairless Hills, PA and Alvira Jane "Janie" Reinhardt of Placentia, CA and his two brothers, Arthur F. Crouse of West Palm Beach, FL and Alvin M. "Tubby" Crouse of Hulmeville, PA. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Francis Glenn Crouse, son of Glenn J. Crouse and two brothers, Jerome M. "Judd" and Kenneth E. Crouse. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, 9:00 until 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
