Gloria E. Giorio of Yardley died on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Chandler Hall. She was 83. Mrs. Giorio was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was raised in a convent in St. Augustine, Florida. She resided in Bensalem for 40 years before moving to Yardley 2 years ago. She worked as a dress maker out of her home for many years. Mrs. Giorio will be lovingly remembered as a great cook who loved to tell jokes. She also enjoyed dancing and playing poker. Mrs. Giorio was the beloved wife of 60 years of the late Americo Giorio. She was the loving mother of Ellen and her husband Dennis Pfiffner of Yardley and Elaine F. Giorio of Philadelphia. She was the devoted grandmother of Tony, Jenna and Shawn Pfiffner, Jason and Joshua Giambrone and Justamarie Holleran and was the great grandmother of 10. Sister of the late Mary Margaret Andongo, she will be sadly missed by 14 nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
