Helen Rose Chiovitt died at her home peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Monday, May 29, 2017. She was 94.Born and raised in Trenton, Mrs. Chiovitt was an original Falls Township homeowner in Levittown for the past 65 years. She was a founding member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, Levittown, where she was also a member of the Senior Group. Until her retirement in 1985, Mrs. Chiovitt was a Crossing Guard with Falls Township for 30 years at the Elderberry and Thornridge sections in Levittown.A longtime member of the Bristol Township Senior Center, Mrs. Chiovitt loved to dance, going to the movies and enjoyed trips to the casinos.Most important to her was the love of her entire family and friends. She will be well remembered as a woman of faith and touched the hearts of all of those she met.Mrs. Chiovitt is the beloved wife of the late Otto Joseph, loving mother of the late Joseph Richard "Rick" Chiovitt and grandmother of the late Joseph Richard "Ricky" Chiovitt, Jr.She is survived by her devoted daughters, Arlene Freitag Chiovitt and Joan M. Chiovitt; her 4 grandchildren, including Lisa Rodriguez and Michael Freitag; and 6 great grandchildren, including Alec Rodriguez. Mrs. Chiovitt will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Mrs. Chiovitt was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Henry and Bernie, and survived by his wife, Bonnie.Lewandowski Family and friends are invited to call from 12 noon until 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 10 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in her name be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422 or to the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
