Helen F. Kolaris Helen F. Kolaris passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle against COPD for over 3 years. She was 78. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Kolaris has been a longtime resident of Levittown. She was co-owner of the former Mason Jar Restaurant. She also worked as a hostess and medical assistant for over 15 years. Mrs. Kolaris enjoyed playing the daily number and trips to the casinos. She loved and adored her husband, children and grandchildren, and truly cherished time spent with them. Mrs. Kolaris was very strong willed and fiesty, yet sweet and loving. Beloved wife of 51 years to Alex, Mrs. Kolaris is the loving mother of Christina (Denis) Gallagher, Steven Kolaris (Kelly) and Alex Kolaris (Tara). She is the devoted grandmother of Nicholas, Christian, Angelina, Evan, Jared, Chase, AJ and McKenzie; caring sister of Dorothy Klund; and cherished aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and again on Friday, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
