

Isabel T. Menichella Isabel T. Menichella (nee: Fischer) died on Sunday, October 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family, after a 2 1/2 year courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Menichella was a longtime resident of Bristol Township. She was a founding member of the former Immaculate Conception Parish and attended daily Mass at Queen of the Universe Parish, Levittown. She also had been a regular at Saint Ephrem Church, Bensalem. Mrs. Menichella, an enthusiastic golfer and bridge player, was a member of the Oxford Valley Ladies Golf Club. Isabel was a member and participated at many events at the Bristol Township Senior Center. For several years she kept fit on the cardio machines and adult (not senior) exercise classes at Nirvana Health Club in Bristol. She was a Lifetime member of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, former Business Card Committee Chair for seventeen years and served as a Membership Ambassador, recruiting, welcoming and engaging new members. She had been presented several awards for her work and dedication over 25 years. Always well-dressed, Isabel was known for her high heels, snappy outfits, beautiful hairstyles and huge cattleya orchid corsage for special occasions. Isabel took flower arranging and sewing classes through Penn State Cooperative in the 1960s and 1970s. She made beautiful flower arrangements for holiday dinner tables. Her clothing was entire ensemble of Millenary fabric-covered hat, dress, coat with full lining, skirt, pants, fabric-covered shoes and handmade matching handbag. Mrs. Menichella was also a loyal member of the "Mystery Group", a group of 14 friends, that organized and participated in celebratory dinners, activities and adventures beginning in 1974. The most recent was two weeks ago, the one hundred fortieth event for the Mystery Group, and Isabel was there! She was a graduate of Saint Hubert High School for Girls. Isabel was the first chair cellist in the orchestra at St Hubert and was loaned out to the other schools without an orchestra. She also was a member of the Saint Hubert's Reunion Group. She and her late husband, Daniel L. Menichella, Sr (1998), began their lifelong romance while still in high school. They met at the Kresge 5 & Dime Store in Mayfair, where they both worked; she at the make-up counter and he in the stock room. In Isabel's early career, she was secretary to the Personnel Manager at the Philadelphia Coke Co (coal). Her favorite pleasure was raising her children, making sure they got to Levittown Little League, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and three swimming teams: Levittown's Country Club Pool, Bensalem, and Philadelphia Aquatic Club. This produced HER finest accomplishments, a good education for her children: Dan and Lee at The Lawrenceville School and Harvard University. Kathleen at Miss Porter's School and Wagner College. For two decades, Mrs. Menichella served as president and co-owner (with her husband) of Daimen Corporation, of marine air conditioning, foul weather gear, canvas bags and other comfort boating items. In her days as Daimen ( Dan And Isabel MENichella) Associates Sales Representative she travelled New Jersey to Maryland. Isabel was the daughter of late John Fischer (1960) and the late Isabel (nee Kaufman) Fischer (1994) High School sweethearts, Isabel and Dan were the proud and loving parents of Daniel L., Jr. (Stacie), Lee P. (Adele) Menichella, and Kathleen Seborowski (Joseph). She was the devoted 'G.G' Glamourous Grandmother of Lauren, Lindsey, Bryson, Stefan and the late Sarah Grace Menichella; Danielle Frances and Francis Anthony Walter; and the sister of Joan Kulick of Warminster, the late Teresa Iacovone of Columbus, Ohio and the late Dr. John M. Fischer and his widow, Diane Y. Fischer of Somerset, NJ. She is also survived by several dear nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 9:30 until 11:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. The Rite of Committal will be held privately in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Mass cards would be preferred.
