

James C. Baxter died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 86.Born and raised in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, Mr. Baxter has been a Fairless Hills resident for many years and was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish.He was employed as a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service for over 30 years, working mostly out of the Levittown Post Office.Jim was a US Army Korean War veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph the Worker Council 4215.He is the stepfather of the late James Novakoski.Jim is the beloved husband of 44 years to Lorraine and the loving stepfather of Frank Novakoski (Nicole), John Novakoski (Brenda), Barbara Redding (Joe), Matthew, who was his primary caregiver, and Mark Novakoski.He is the devoted grandfather of David, Shannon, Jamie, John, Andrew and Kierstyn and proud great grandfather of L.J. and Joseph.Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, 8:30 until 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 325 South Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's name may be made to Saint Frances Cabrini Church at the above address.
