James F. Collins Jr.

Jim worked in the plumbing and heating field his whole life and under the tutelage of his favorite uncle, Maurice Rosenberg. His favorite times occurred while working for the Pennsbury School District with his best friend, Dave Arleth.

He was a devoted grandfather who adored his 8 grandchildren.

We would be remiss if we didn't mention the wonderful care he received the last weeks from Chandler Hall Hospice, and his special Irish nurse, Jamie!

There are a few people who should be thanked and mentioned. Jim's only sister, Doreen Lelionis, who he adored, his cousins John and William Schroder, Constance Rosenberg Kimmel and Karen Boettger. These are the people who called and made the effort to come and see Dad during this past year. We want to thank them.

Jim is predeceased by his his wonderful wife of 56 years, Marie, who passed on June 15, 2019; grandchildren, Michael and Brian Fioravanti; his parents, James and Dora Collins; and his brother, George Collins.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Maria and Brian Fioravanti; sons, James and Mariealana Collins and Michael and Shannon Collins; his eight cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and James Fioravanti, Robert, Daniel and Charles Collins, Darrien, Cayleigh and Ella Collins; his sister, Doreen and Anthony Lelionis; and his brother, Edward and Kathy Collins.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 23, 2020, from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
