James R. Dessin, Sr.

James R. Dessin, Sr. James R. Dessin, Sr. died on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his home in Bensalem. He was 81. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Dessin has been a longtime resident of Lower Bucks County. He was a proud US Army veteran. Mr. Dessin was an avid musician, and enjoyed playing drums. He loved his motorcyle, the outdoors and camping. Beloved husband of the late Glenna and father of the late Michelle Hilderley. Mr. Dessin is the loving father of Margaret Burden (John) and James. R. Dessin, Jr. (Michelle) and stepfather of Jennifer Clements (Mike), Victoria Stambaugh (Troy) and Melissa McDonald (Daniel). He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Patrick, Regina, Andrew, Kate, Kristen and Michael; his siblings, Barbara Rushton (Al), Richard (Joan) Dessin, Mary Bupp (Dave), Joseph Dessin, Carol Stroup and William Dessin; and numerous nieces and nephews.. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 9:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately.
