James Ellsworth

James Ellsworth passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 78 years old.Born in Johnstown, PA Mr. Ellsworth has been a long time resident of Levittown.He was a graduate of the DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago and was employed with US Steel as an Electrical Engineer for 32 years. After his retirement from US Steel, he continued his professional career for another 10 years with Kaman Industrial Technologies. Jim (as called by his family and friends) was also the proud owner of Ellsworth Electronics and a videographer. Jim had always been an amazing inventor and the original "Do-It-Yourself" expert in which he could fix, repair or modify just about anything!Beloved husband of Starann (Histand), Mr. Ellsworth is the loving father of Penny Moyer (Tim), K ami Dykes (Jamie), Jamie Neiman (Greg) and Danielle Obert (Greg); devoted grandfather/ "Poppy" of Alexandra, Joseph, Joshua, Alizabeth, Melanie, Justice, Zachary, Madison, Stephanie, Andrew, Alyssa, Jason and Courtney; and proud great grandfather of Michael, Mitchell, Marshall, Jason, Madeline and 2 others on the way.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. On Saturday, September 11, 2021, calling hours with the family are at 9:00 am at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 N Pennsylvania Ave, Morrisville, where his funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery.
