Joan M. ParkerJoan M. Parker died on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 83.Born and raised in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, Mrs. Parker was an original homeowner in Levittown for 50 years, prior to moving to Bensalem 10 years ago.She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.Mrs. Parker was a long time volunteer at Lower Bucks Hospital, serving there for over 40 years.She enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Chancellors Glen in Bensalem.Beloved wife of the late Gordon, Mrs. Parker is survived by her devoted and loving children, Sandra Parker and Victor Parker (Vicki); her grandchildren, Megan Calvello (John) and Tim Parker; and her sister, Mary Lou Carberry.Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass on Monday, 12:30 pm at Immaculate Conception Church, 5201 Emilie Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of her family.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or charity of the donor's choice.
