

Joanne F. Knorr passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Summit Hospital in Hermitage, TN, after a long battle with chronic illnesses.
Joanne was a pianist from the age of 4 and directed choirs from the age of 16. She loved, lived, and breathed music. She served churches as a pianist and choir director most of her adult life. She also directed both handbells and instrumental ensembles. She has written countless songs and arrangements, which includes two cantatas, One and The Best Toy, performed by the Men of Harmony of Fairless Hills, PA.
Joanne loved unconditionally and was like a mother to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barry and Marvine Vannauker, and her son, Charles Knorr. She will be missed by her siblings, David Vannauker (Jenny), of Houston, TX, Connie Barone (Bob), of Greensburg, PA, and Douglas Vannauker (Karen), of Levittown, PA; children, Cassandra Hatton (Michael), Benjamin Knorr (Laura), and Allyson Knorr, all of Nashville, TN; her fur-grandbabies, Houston and Pixie; her aunt, Ruth Vannauker, of Fairless Hills, PA; her many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and all those who called her mom, momma, or Joie.
Friends and loved ones are invited to come to a visitation at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 10:00am until 11:00am, with a musical tribute at 11:00am, and graveside service to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
