John D. DiSangro

Born in Philadelphia, he was a lifelong area resident of Bucks County. He was a Graduate of Temple University in 1988 for Journalism and Communications.

John began his career in 1983 and was the longest-tenured member of John Chaney's staff at Temple University and was the director of basketball operations for 19 seasons. John was the recipient of the Temple Basketball Ring of Honor. In 2006, John was offered a position for Comcast Sportsnet and was the associated producer.

He was a boss, friend, mentor, brother, soulmate that will never be forgotten for all of the good and fun memories each had with him.

Predeceased by his parents, John and Rosemary DiSangro and his precious nephew, Stephen; he is survived by his life partner of 26 years, Daryl Ehrhart; his siblings and their spouses, Steve and Linda DiSangro, Regina and John Dzwonar, Mary DiSangro and Roy Lucchese; his nephews, John Dzwonar, Rocco DiSangro, Christopher Dzwonar and Lucas DiSangro; his step-children, Kristin Ellzy, John and Jennifer Ehrhart; his step-grandchildren, Jason, Jordan, Jade, Declan and Rhys; 4 step great-grandchildren; a dear friend, Debra Black; his beloved Tommy the Turtle; and countless cousins, friends, co-workers and extended family members.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the staff at Temple and with the Phillies. The dedication, hard work and teamwork did not go unnoticed by John and his family over the years.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by cremation.
