

John R. Ferdinand John R. Ferdinand of Langhorne died on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at his home. He was 51. Born in Toms River, NJ, Mr. Ferdinand was a long time resident of Bensalem before moving to Langhorne 9 months ago. He attended Misericordia College in Dallas, PA where he played basketball on scholarship for 4 years. He was a member of the LuLu Country Club and was an avid scratch golfer. Mr. Ferdinand worked in office equipment sales and was a member of the Presidents Club at Digital Images. In addition John was also employed by Fraser Business Solutions and Tri-State Office Solutions for several years. A very speical thanks to Fraser and Tri-State for their unwavering support to John during his illness. John was an avid sports fan with a passion for all Philadelphia sports teams. He most enjoyed though, the time he spent with his children. John was married to Lynn Bezick Ferdinand for 24 years and is survived by their three children John Andrew of Holland, PA and Nicholas and Jessica of Bensalem, PA. Preceded in death by his father John (Chico) Ferdinand, he is also survived by his mother Alice Ferdinand, 4 brothers and sisters Mary Jo Sherrock of Schwenksville, PA, Anthony Ferdinand of Venice, FL, Janine Forrest of Schwenksville, PA and Michael Fortunato of Atlanta, GA. John's family would like to give special thanks to all of their family members, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors for their love and support throughout John's illness, as well as to the staff at Pennsylvania Hospital and Caring and Compassionate Care Hospices, particularly nurses David, Ola and Diane. A special thanks to Floyd, for his kindness shown to John. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 6:30 until 9:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Friends may also call Saturday from 9:30 until 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 S.
