After relocating to Bucks County, John continued his career in manufacturing and eventually retired from the Congoleum Company. Throughout his life, John was known for his loyalty, dependability, and commitment to his work and to those he loved.

He found great joy in simple pleasures-taking scenic drives in his treasured Hondas with his beloved wife Betty, enjoying family vacations at the Jersey Shore, chatting with fellow vacationers poolside in Wildwood, or trying his luck at the penny slots in Atlantic City.
Above all, John cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Betty (Torano) Goss; his loving daughter Susan Mahoney (Dan) of Holland; and his treasured grandchildren, Daniel and Meghan. He is also survived by his brother, James Goss (Mary) of Johnstown, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Geraldine (Shortt) Goss.
