John J. "Jack" Hynes, of Langhorne, died on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at his home. He was 80. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Hynes resided in Yardley for 10 years and Willow Grove for 2 years before moving to Langhorne 3 years ago. He was employed with Breyers Ice Cream for 43 years until retiring in 1994. Mr. Hynes was a member of Queen of the Universe church. He loved taking walks. Mr. Hynes was the beloved husband of Gertrude J. (Huber) Hynes for 55 years. He was the loving father of Robert J. Hynes of Levittown, Diane M. and her husband David Anderson of Feasterville and James M. Hynes of Royersford and was the grandfather of David Anderson. He was the brother of Frederick Hynes of Bensalem and Edna Hynes of Philadelphia and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown where friends may call from 9:00 a.m.until the time of the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
