

John A. Tomcho died on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Aria Hospital Bucks County. He was 90.Born and raised in Sugarloaf Twp., PA, John left home at a young age to join the military. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II serving on the USS Wisconsin.John moved to Levittown and was an original homeowner in Bristol Township for many years.He was a former active member of Immaculate Conception Church where he volunteered a lot of his time in several capacities. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph the Worker Council #4215 and was also a member of the USS Wisconsin Alumni.Beloved husband of the late Agnes, Mr. Tomcho is the loving father of Paula Johnson (Michael), John G. Tomcho (Kathleen), Judy Cannon (Joseph), Gary Tomcho (Donna) and Matthew Tomcho (Catherine).He is the devoted grandfather of 16 and proud great grandfather of 25.Mr. Tomcho will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family.Family and friends are invited to call from 9 until 10 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Name of Jesus at Transfiguration Church, 213 W. Green Street, West Hazleton, PA where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Drums, PAIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children 160 E Erie Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3551 N Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140, which were John's favorite charities.
