

Joseph P. Brogan Sr., of Levittown died on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 76. Born in Allentown and formerly of the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Mr. Brogan has been a Bristol Township resident for the past 42 years. He was the owner of Brogan Construction Inc. in Levittown for many years. Mr. Brogan was an Army veteran of Korea. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel parish and was a friend of Bill W. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and was very active in the local Irish-American community. Mr. Brogan was the beloved husband of Ann R. (Cooney) Brogan for 51 years. He was the loving father of Joseph P., Jr. and his wife Denise Brogan of Quakertown, John G. and his wife Jessica Brogan of Croydon, James F. Brogan of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Maryellen Brogan of Levittown. He was the loving Pop Pop of Briana, Joseph P., III, Liam, Caleigh, Meghan and Joanna. He was the brother of John Brogan of San Francisco, CA, Thomas Brogan of Philadelphia and Catherine Tinney of Philadelphia. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal will take place in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
