Joseph E. KavanaughJoseph E. Kavanaugh died peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 68.Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Edmund and Ellen (Hughes) Kavanaugh, Joe was a lifetime resident of Lower Bucks County.He was a 1970 graduate of the University of Scranton and was a self-employed CPA for 40 years.Joe was a member of Saint Ephrem Church, Bensalem.He is the beloved husband of 45 years to Kathleen (Shartle).Joe is also survived by his son Sean, daughter-in-law Melissa, and grandson Conor; his daughter Colleen Cannon, son-in-law Chris, and granddaughter Cecelia; his sister Mary Philhower and brother-in-law Fred.He will also be sadly missed by his beloved nieces, Maryann, Chrissy, Carolyn, and nephew, Freddy; brother-in-law, Stephen Shartle and his wife, Valerie and nieces, Ashley, Allie and Jennifer; his sister-in-law, Mary Shartle, niece Erin Wilcox and nephew, Josh Catalfamo; cousin, James Kavanaugh; and many treasured friends and colleagues.Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 12:00 until 1:00 pm at Saint Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm.
