Josephine G. Gerchak Josephine G. Gerchak died on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Aria Health Bucks Campus in Langhorne. She was 86. Born in Pittston, PA, Mrs. Gerchak has been a Middletown Township resident since 1957. A member of Queen of the Universe Parish, Levittown, she was a very religious and devout Catholic. Mrs. Gerchak was also a member of the Middletown Seniors. She enjoyed bingo, however, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Beloved wife of the late John J., Mrs. Gerchak is the loving mother of Michael A. of Philadelphia, Paula Downs (Robert) of Columbia, SC and Rosemarie Gerchak of Quakertown. She was the deovted grandmother of Danielle, Angela and Carolina and sister of Carmella Sakalauskas and Mary Resavy (Bernie). Mrs. Gerchak will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2243 Trenton Road, Levittown PA 19056, followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Queen of the Universe Church at the above address.
