Joyce Jane Gutekunst

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jenny Piazza; her in-laws, Albert and Edna Gutekunst Sr.; her best friend, Wendy Hawk, and many other loved friends and family members.Remaining behind to carry on is her loving husband, Albert Gutekunst Jr.; her brother, Joseph J. Piazza and his wife, Kristine Stevens Piazza; her three children, James and Michael Gutekunst, and Karen Krall, their spouses Colleen Gutekunst and William Krall and her heart, her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sean Gutekunst and William Krall V. Also very much loved was her extended family and wonderful friends.

Joyce was a permanent resident of Bucks County PA. Her strength and will took her through many highs and lows but most notable was being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995, having it recurring as stage 4 in 2012 and again in 2016 as well as 2019. With a love and willingness to be close with her family, she overcame every one of these diagnoses.

Family and friends are invited to call from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where a memorial service for Albert and Joyce will be held at 7 p.m.

Family and friends are also invited to assemble on the parking lot of the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 30th for procession to Washington Crossing National Cemetery where Albert and Joyce will be laid to rest at 9:30 a.m.
