Julia A. Connelly, 78, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away July 15, 2016. She was the daughter of Jacob and Julie Thurner, born July 10, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA. Julia will always be remembered for her gentleness and kindness. She was a devout member of the Sacred Heart Church and loved the rosary. Julia enjoyed playing cards and was a past Red Cross Volunteer.Julia will be greatly missed by her beloved, husband, Joseph "Jerry" Connelly, mother of Joyce (Robert) Beer, Kathleen Connelly, Joseph (Denise) Connelly, Jr., Christopher (Lillian) Connelly, James Connelly and Patricia (Dustin) Robinson; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Jackie Brown; brother, Jacob Thurner; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 9:30 until 10:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
