Katherine N. Bachman Katherine N. Bachman, age 68, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Jefferson University Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Ruth (Dorety) and Henry Charles Werner, Kathy has been a life long resident of Lower Bucks County. Kathy was devoted to many things in her life. She was loved not only by her family and friends, but also by the community. She was employed by the Bristol Township School District, holding various positions during her 30 years of service. Shortly after her retirement, she was elected to the Bristol Township School Board, a position which she held for the past 6 years. Kathy was also an active member and advocate for the Democratic party and had a particular interest in genealogy which she studied and taught at Bucks County Community College. Kathy had a great passion for the Bristol Township School District and the children attending those schools. She had a huge impact on the community and was respected by all who knew her. She had a life long love for the shore and served as President of the Sunset by the Bay Condo Association in Wildwood, NJ, where she enjoyed spending time there with her family and friends. Beloved wife of 47 years to Gerald, her high school sweetheart, Kathy is the loving mother of Derek and Charlie and his wife, Nicole and the cherished Oma of Christopher, Jack and Rian and life long friend of Cher Manzo. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Bristol Cemetery. There will be no calling hours on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathy's name may be made to Harry S.
