Kenneth Roger Devlin, known to many as simply Kenny, was a man of quiet devotion, steady presence, and deep love for his family. For over 40 years, he began each day by delivering a cup of coffee to his beloved wife, June — a small daily gesture that spoke volumes about the kind of husband, father, and man he was. Together, Ken and June raised three daughters — Heather, Meghan, and Kelsea — and built a home full of warmth, laughter, and lifelong memories. He was also a proud and loving grandfather to Hunter, Harper, and Elowyn, who brought immeasurable joy into his life.
Ken was born in Abington, Pennsylvania and raised by Helen and Bernard Devlin. After moving to Levittown, he attended Immaculate Conception grade school and graduated from Bishop Egan Catholic High School. Kenny went on to build a long and committed career in the steel industry. He worked for many years at U.S. Steel and, at the time of his passing, was still employed with Certified Steel — a testament to his strong work ethic, loyalty, and the respect he earned from those around him.
He had a natural gift for fixing things and figuring out how to handle just about any task. Whether it was a home project or a helping hand, Ken was the one people turned to — often with phrases like, “Ken will do it,” “Call Dad,” or “Did you ask Ken?” He never sought credit, but his reliability and quiet strength left an impact that won’t be forgotten.
Ken and June loved to travel, exploring the world side by side and creating beautiful memories in places like Italy, Germany, Austria, Portugal, France, Ireland, England, Istanbul, Croatia, Greece, and Alaska. One of their most recent and cherished trips was a magical vacation to Disney with their granddaughter Elowyn — a trip filled with laughter, wonder, and love.
Ken was also a passionate sports fan who proudly rooted for all the Philadelphia teams — especially the Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies. He was also a devoted Penn State Football fan. But his favorite athlete wasn’t a professional; it was his granddaughter Anderson, number 12 on the ice. Ken rarely missed one of her hockey games and would travel for hours to attend tournaments just to see her play, cheering her on with quiet pride and fierce devotion.
When his grandson Hunter arrived, Ken was thrilled to finally have a boy in the family. The bond between them grew into something more like father and son — filled with shared time, conversations, and a closeness that meant the world to both of them.
In his spare time, Ken loved to go fishing. Whether it was on a quiet morning by the water or an afternoon trip with family, fishing brought him peace and happiness — a simple joy that reflected the calm, patient, and thoughtful way he lived his life.
Ken is survived by his loving mother, Helen Devlin; his brothers, Russell (Anita), Daniel (Jean), Bernard (Kate), his sister, Donna (Steve) and Mark (Karen), as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his daughters from his first marriage, Heather and Melissa, as well as daughters Heather Anne, Meghan (Brad) and Kelsea (Matthew). He leaves behind a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss his steady presence, generous heart, and unwavering devotion.
A celebration of life for Ken will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service to follow at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056.
Ken’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched — through the family he loved, the friends he supported, and the steady example he set. He was the one you could count on, the one who showed up, the one who stayed true. He will be missed beyond words, remembered with deep love, and honored every day in the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him.
