Kenneth E. Fitts Sr.

Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Ida M. (Fisher) and Harry H. Fitts, Ken was a graduate of George Washington High School, and attended Lycoming College, playing football in both high school and college. He has been a resident of Bensalem for the past 17 years.

He spent his working career as a corrections officer at Graterford and Chester State Correctional Institutions, retiring as a Captain in 2010.

Ken enjoyed bowling, golfing and made an awesome chicken parm!  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of 31 years to Dorothy "Dottie" (Iliff), he is the loving father of Kenneth E. Fitts Jr. (Erica), Brian Fitts (Rachel), Brittany Fitts and Shannon Fitts; and the devoted grandfather of Cameron and Sloan Fitts and Norah Weller.

He is also survived by his brother, Harry Fitts (Donna), and his sisters, Janice Hummel (John) and Susan Fitts; 9 nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 9:00 until 10:00 am, with the funeral service to follow at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Interment will be held in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA.
