She was born to Doris and the late Harley Serfass on October 25, 1959, in Bristol, PA. She graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1977 and received her Associates in Administration from Bucks County Community College and cosmetology license from Levittown Beauty Academy.
Kim spent years working for Bayada Nursing. She was the first person you would see going into the office and first to speak to on the phone. People would always comment on how beautiful and kind her voice was and how she really embodied the values of Bayada everyday.
Kim was an avid skier and scuba diver who loved to travel and enjoy the scenery of new places. She loved country music and loved to sing and dance.
Kim truly had a kind heart that was never selfish. She loved to volunteer at her church and help those less fortunate in any way she could. She always tried to take care of everyone else and their needs before her own up until the very end. Her sense of humor and musical laugh were second to none and even though her comebacks never made sense they always lightened the mood. She was an angel who walked this earth every day for 61 years until she earned her heavenly wings.
Kim had the brightest smile that would light up any room she walked into, her voice was so warm and welcoming that you couldn't help but feel calm when she talked to you. She always looked so beautiful and put together at all times even in the hospital where she would ask to wear a little lipstick and blush. She was so kind to everyone and her heart was pure gold.
Kim was so proud to become a grandmother, it was one of the things that kept her fighting on to the very end. She was also the proud mother of 3 beautiful grown women who she would look at as her greatest accomplishments in life. If there was anything she wanted to instill in the lives of those she touched it was that there is good in everyone. She loved and lived life to the fullest no matter what life threw at her.
Everyone that knew her loved her and if they didn’t love her they just didn’t know her well enough yet.
Kim married her loving husband, Michael Slack, in 1982 and they cherished 38 years together. She was a devoted mother to her three beautiful daughters , Rachel Nguyen, of Philadelphia; Rebecca Slack, of Hamilton; Victoria Slack, of Morrisville. She is also survived by her one precious grandson, Theo; her mother: Doris Serfass, of Morrisville and her brother: Randy Serfass, of Forest Hill. Kim was predeceased by her loving father, Harley Serfass, in 2010.
